Free webinar series: Five sessions

Fourth meeting coming...

Last year, Moscow Transport Department and UITP planned The Urban Transport Leader Council as a joint event to discuss innovative urban mobility strategies in leading cities around the world. Like many others, this plan fell victim to the coronavirus outbreak to be overcomed with five webinars dedicated to discuss how public transport is coming out stronger from the current crisis.

The first webinar –THE BIGGER PICTURE –took place 28 January 2021.

The second webinar – CHANGING CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS – took place February 25.

The third webinar – THE POTENTIAL OF INNOVATION – took place March 25,

The recordings of all three webinars are available in UITP MyLibrary on Eurasia Division section.

Session 4 -

Resilient urban mobility systems –

Health and safety concerns during the pandemic have driven many passengers away from public transport. Whilst an increased share of walking and cycling is seen as a positive trend, the increasing use of individual cars gives reason for concern. In order to play its role as the backbone of urban mobility, public transport has to meet evolving expectations for safe, convenient and efficient travelling, but may also have to enlarge its business focus beyond the traditional service portfolio.

This webinar will discuss:

  • How to give a fresh momentum to a modal shift towards sustainable urban mobility.
  • How to broaden the service portfolio to diversify potential revenue streams.
  • How new partnerships can help to bridge existing gaps in mobility systems and create attractive new offers.

– Как придать новый импульс модальному переходу к устойчивой городской мобильности;
– Как расширить портфель услуг, чтобы диверсифицировать потенциальные потоки доходов;
