In July 2021, UITP was proud to launch the Urban Mobility Open Payments Forum to advance the adoption of open loop payment systems in public transport.
Joining around the table major industry players including Visa and American Express, the Forum seeks to stimulate dialogue on open loop payment in public transport, to facilitate its deployment, and create a clearer framework for implementation. Recently, UITP was proud to welcome Discover® Global Network, the global payments brand of Discover Financial Services, as new member.
