The world is living through great change…

Our cities and the way we travel are being redefined in a constantly developing world.

What will the role of public transport be in our cities of the future? And what will the sector look like in a post-pandemic world?

We’ll ask these questions and debate the answers as we start to build the future of mobility at the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition (MTCE) set to take place 6-8 February 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Jointly organised and hosted by UITP and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), we will bring expert voices to the table to move forward the debate on urban mobility at a crucial time for our cities.

With the focus on a physical, in-person edition, selected segments of the next edition will be hybrid to reflect the ongoing times.

The city of Dubai has shown remarkable resilience in dealing with the pandemic because of the timely decisive actions by our visionary leadership. The public transport recovery plan is on track and we are already achieving ridership around 70% of the pre-pandemic level as we are ready to welcome the world for EXPO 2020. The leading urban mobility event in the MENA region – MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition will be more informational and filled with opportunities as it will be held during the EXPO 2020 event. I am privileged to invite you to attend this premier urban mobility event in the region to celebrate the iconic time with us.
Mohammad Obaid Al Mulla
Member of RTA Board of Executive Directors, Chairman of UITP MENA Division
The MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition is a vital component within the conversation on the future of urban mobility. Our cities are changing, and the next edition of our event will help to lead those developments. Public transport keeps our cities moving and Dubai is one of the best examples of connected and vibrant urban life that can set an example for the world. With an impressive programme and growing list of speakers, we can take those necessary steps together.

The MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition is on its way back...

Every two years, the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition brings together expert international voices who help to focus on the important developments and latest innovations steering the debate on urban mobility.

Last year, the continuous developments of the coronavirus pandemic led to some necessary changes to our global events calendar.

Now, the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition is on its way back and the next edition is taking shape with an impressive programme with participation from key regional and international experts to make sure the future of public transport is at the top of the agenda.

The event aims to promote public transport throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and showcase the developments in public transport on a global stage.

UITP regularly works with our members and external stakeholders in the MENA region to develop public transport. The MTCE allows us to develop those collaborations with an international audience.

With eight themed sessions and four featured sessions across all three days, our programme contains topics such as Cities of Tomorrow, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), AI and Big Data, Safety and Security, Clean buses, and smart mobility management.

The MENA Transport Exhibition is also the business and networking platform for all players within the public transport sector and you will be able to explore our global exhibition with up to 100 international names showcasing their latest innovations, products, and developments.

The format of the exhibition for the 2022 edition is being updated to represent the new event style.

The strength of community has grown within public transport during the global pandemic and it’s more important than ever that we bring together the leading industry names to consider the future urban mobility.

We can build that future together.

We will announce new and exciting information connected to our programme and speakers in due course and encourage you to stay connected to our channels for more news!
